"Education in Iran should be Justice-oriented", The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

Selection of the Supreme Leader's Speech in FTEU on the Occasion of Teacher’s Dayi (held on Wednesday, 9 May 2018, Nasibeh campus, Tehran).

TRUE SENSE OF NATIONAL IDENTITY AND JUSTICE-ORIENTED PEOPLE MUST BE THE GREAT CONCERN of THE SYSTEM of EDUCATION

What I want to say about education is that the education in Iran should be Justice oriented. i.e., the system of education must educate justice-oriented people, because justice is the high value that has always been the subject of humanity from the beginning of human history. Values change over time based on the evolution of generations. However, certain values are stable from the beginning to the last, and the value of justice is the best example. The system of education in this country has certain goals and aims to be met.  What are these goals? These goals are exactly the same as the goals of the Islamic system; these goals must be placed in system of education; should be taken into account. The Islamic system is to establish an advanced world and society, with transcendental values, adhering to divine principles, with the infinite range of perspective. The outlook of a person who lives in the Islamic society and the Islamic system has no limitations for the future; there is no limit in any direction; not only in spiritual aspects, but also in material and scientific directions. The perspective in the Islamic system is much more ahead and beyond what the great people could consider.

In the Islamic community, and during the twelve years of school education, a student must find his place in this huge convoy moving toward the progress; he should know his role in this great system. Where is his position? What is his dignity? He should define a role for himself. Students are educated in school; he should be taught to obtain a sense of responsibility and a spirit of liberty and free thinking; be honest; be healed; brave, self-sacrificing, virtuous and righteous. The generation under education should be trained with these qualities; these are the perspectives and visions in education. So, there is a great war in this field; my dears, the smart, brave and beloved youth who are gathered here, and all those who want to play a role in education! Take this war seriously; there is a war now. Some people want to make us asleep and unaware of what the enemy is doing. In the field of educating dignified, brave, human who have goal in their life, the enemies are trying through different ways to fail us in the field of educating the young, Muslim Iranian students. This topic of identity, which I point out repeatedly, addresses this issue. Iranian students must grow up with a sense of national identity and progress toward the goals. If a young person feels his identity, he will avoid deviance, betrayal, and laziness. The major drawbacks that sometimes happen is due to the lack of true sense of national identity.
