ghadir
Eid al-Ghadir is an Islamic commemorative holiday, and is among the significant celebrations of the Muslims. The Eid is held on the 18th Dhul-Hijjah at the time when the Islamic prophet Muhammad (pbuh) appointed Ali ibn Abi Talib (pbhu) as his successor and it is held a few days after the widely celebrated Eid al-Adha. Muslims celebrate this incident as the basis for their acceptance of Imam Ali’s succession to the Prophet.
