Higher Age of Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU) Candidates to Be Reviewed by Relevant Committee
The spokesperson of the Education, Research, and Technology Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly announced the presence of the chancellor of FTEU in the commission meeting and said that an increased age of the candidates of FTEU is being reviewed at the relevant committee.
Interviewing with the journalist of Khaneh – Mellat News Agency, Ehsan Azimi Rad explained the agenda of the Education, Research, and Technology Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in the presence of the chancellor and the vice-presidents of FTEU, and said that FTEU is one of the major issues of the education system of the country to educate student- teachers, while the university faces serious problems including academics recruitment, educational infrastructures, and services such as dilapidated education buildings and students dormitories; some regulations and rules must also been modified.
Pointing out the changes in the board of trustees of FTEU, he added that these changes must definitely accompanied by some modifications.
Recruitment of 3-4 thousand superior-talented candidates
Azimi Rad emphasized that the problem of the disqualification of student-teachers, especially those who face it after graduation from the 4-year period of education, was discussed and the chancellor of the university does not consider these disqualifications to be comprehensive, so it is about to be revised seriously so that there can be the hope for some students to return to the education system after the revision.
Approval of the general outline of the education system strengthening
Azimi Rad offered information on the review of the plan to strengthen the education system so that the members of the commission have agreed on the general outline of the plan after a comprehensive discussion of the issue.
