Mohsen Haji Mirzaei: Education System to Be Movement Point to Bright Horizons

Mohsen Haji Mirzaei, the former minister of education and the chief of the president’s office, in the First National Conference of Governance of the Education System, emphasizing education as the most fundamental issue of society, stated that education is the departure to whatever is in demand.

He added that if we accept that the quality of human resources and social capital is one of the major capitals to move toward higher bright horizons, the education system can be the departure point.

The former minister of education said that education is the president's top priority.

He pointed out that education must be able to answer three main questions: what level of capability, capacity, and competence must be considered for students after graduation from school? Why and how should they reach such a level? And how is it possible to surely assess the level? He added that three factors are needed in this regard: the teachers to accomplish the vision, the compensating system and content for the required services to realize the goal, and the assessment system to evaluate the goal achievement.

The chief of the president’s office considered the departure point of paying attention to education to be the curricula; so the curricula determine what level of capability, competence, and capacity is desirable for the students after graduation.
