Message of Chancellor of Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU) to 2nd National Conference of Educational Teachings of Shahid Soleimani’s School

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Whoever does good, whether faithful male or female, we will surely give them a good life, and we will surely reward them according to the best of their deeds.

An-Nahl/Sooreh 16, verse (Ayeh) 97.

I appreciate all those involved and those responsible for organizing this conference, which provides an opportunity for discussion and deep scientific reflection on Shahid Soleimani’s performance in areas of education and helps to increase the academic community’s correct understanding of Shahid Soleimani’s views and attitudes, and it should be said that Shahid Soleimani is a clear example of the good life referred to in the above-mentioned noble verse.

With the introduction of the country's development programs and the teacher training system, as well as the existence of evolutionary documents such as the curriculum development document and the theoretical basics of evolution in the education system, it seemed essential to achieve a suitable model for improving the quality of teacher training following the needs of the time and its updating.

In addition, everyone is aware that the major active element in education is undoubtedly the teacher, and the success of this system will certainly have a direct impact on the quality of teachers’ skills in all aspects. Among all, what has received less attention is the use of successful models and school-building individuals for teacher training; therefore, the teachings of Shahid Soleimani’s school can be the main one.

To achieve this, teacher training methods should be directed towards training students and student-teachers under the ideals of the Islamic society; consequently, teachers and professors are trained to fulfill their duties toward achieving the goals of the Second Phase of the Islamic Revolution and improve the civilization, educational methods, and the intellectual atmosphere of education.

The proper functioning of the education system and the education of an influential generation on the future of the country is highly dependent on teachers. Therefore, the method of training teachers, especially how to train them to direct the future of the country, plays a vital role in all fields, including achieving the goals of sustainable development.

The managers of the society in the future must be trained from now on so that they will be able to play a role as dynamic managers to make civilization. The prerequisite for the trend toward the novel Islamic Civilization is the theoretical and practical dissemination of the Islamic school.

The school of Shahid Haj Qasem Soleimani, who, according to the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, was trained by Imam Khomeini’s School, in addition to benefiting from divine teachings and commands, is an effective and worthy model for training teachers to achieve sublime goals.

Shahid Soleimani, with his knowledge of the Quran and the Ahl al-Bayt, and also, being unquestionably in the line of the guardianship of the Imam of the Time and, consequently, the guardianship of Wilayat al-Faqih, and his presence in various cultural and social activities, even during the time of Jihad, shows that, from the perspective of role modeling in creating a school, he is a complete model of the six areas of the Fundamental Reform Document of Education.

According to existing and verifiable reports, Shahid Soleimani's hard work in worship and invoking the Ahl al-Bayt, attention to the rights of people, respect for professional, social, and political behavior, and attention to all artistic subtleties, can be a model for all of us professors and teachers.

For this purpose, understanding the doctrinal basics of the school of Shahid Soleimani, training the teachers based on this school, and designing a model for training standard student-teachers of the second phase of the Islamic Revolution to train civilization-making managers is of particular importance.

Accordingly, in the Fundamental Reform Document of Education, education is an interactive process that lays the groundwork for the development and continuous excellence of the identity of teachers, expressed in an integrated manner and based on the Islamic standard system to guide them on the path of preparing for the all-dimensional realization of the stages of a good life, and the orientation of all measures to achieve a good life for student teachers will have a special position, and since the resistance approach and avoidance of domination are among the requirements for achieving a good life, adopting the school of Shahid Soleimani regarding all its characteristics and dimensions will be vital.

In this regard, the role of the curriculum and teaching resources is undeniable, and considering such a supreme goal, it is imperative that efforts be made to train standard teachers of the Islamic Republic, taking into account existing observations and components, and that superior educational models be used accurately.

Education in the style of Shahid Soleimani is not for a specific time or groups of individuals, but rather, it is an educational model in which its audience is always important at every age, gender, and position; the educational and training behavior of this school is organized with strong support of the ideology of guardianship and insight. It is necessary for FTEU and those responsible for teacher education to discuss the important issue of promoting the insight of teachers on future subjects besides educational issues, and this is the duty of revolutionary teachers.

Being familiar with the character and style of Shahid Soleimani and using creative ideas and methods, the elite in education fields should prepare future teachers to improve the quality of their educational skills for the future generations of the Islamic Revolution society to empower them in Islamic civilization issues.

The professors of this university should strive to comprehensively understand and be aware of the school of Shahid Soleimani and take cultural, educational, and research measures to create an intellectual and attitudinal structure on this basis.

In this regard, the university is also obliged to take effective steps to increase knowledge and improve the educational capacities of its professors so that it can prepare its revolutionary professors to be effective models in various dimensions of the civilizational step of the Islamic Revolution. Undoubtedly, solving some of the current problems of the university, which all of you respected professors in this conference are well aware of, provides this opportunity for university policymakers to address the main concerns of the education system, i.e., the main functions of teacher training, which is the development and training of teachers according to the needs of the today’s society.

Thank you to all of you respected professors who, despite all the shortcomings of the university, are making the best efforts to ensure that the educational weight of this university remains heavier and its effectiveness in making a more brilliant Iranian-Islamic teacher than in the past can be seen.

Peace be upon you, and may God's mercy and blessings be upon you.
