Secretary of Supreme Council of Cultural Revolution: Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU) Is an Important University for Country Ruling
At the National Festival of Research and Technology, the Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, Hojjat al-Islam val-Muslimin Abd-ul-Hossein Khosropanah, emphasized that FTEU is an important university for ruling the country; the university should make an effort to train human-making teachers. Therefore, it has a fundamental position.
He stated that ruling the country does not just mean governing it, and governance is part of the duties of the Education Ministry. He defines ruling as the process conducted with the maximum participation of the stakeholders. The process involves five steps: policymaking, regulation, leadership, stewardship, supervision, and assessment. Provided that all five steps are done with the stakeholders’ participation, it is defined as ruling.
He added that the teachers’ opinions must be a priority in making decisions about the effectiveness of GPA in university admission; the Education Ministry must assess the needs and priorities of teachers, families, and students through surveys and act based on the findings.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution pointed out the necessity of paying attention to the huge existing capacity of the education system.
