Minister of Education: Education to Be at Center of Attention and Dominant Discourse of National Unity Government
At the closing ceremony of the event “Mim Mesle Moalem (T like Teacher)”, hosted by Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU), Alireza Kazemi, the minister of Education, stated that once education suffered from underestimation so that all wished for the ministry of education to find its way to the actual position of achieving the highest priority. Today, the wish has come true.
He added that the history of developed countries is a lesson that education is the beginning of being developed, and no country would ever be successful if it did not invest in this vital field. Therefore, the growth and development of a country depend on the attention paid and the tribute given to the teachers.
The minister of education pointed out that today, education has turned into the dominant discourse of the government so that, over the last six months, the president, Dr. Pezeshkian, has held 21 meetings specifically dedicated to education to take advantage of the entire social, economic, and scientific capacity of the country for education; an action that has been unprecedented in our country.
He emphasized the necessity of empowering teachers and stated that the Ministry of Education supports the innovation and creativity of teachers.
