Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU) Hosting Pakistani Delegation and Director of International Cooperation Department of Allama Iqbal Open University
On February 9th, 2025, FTEU hosted Dr. Zahid Majeed, the Director of the International Cooperation Department of Allama Iqbal Open University, Pakistan, in line with the development of international interactions with neighboring countries, especially the Islamic World countries.
In this event, extending a warm welcome, the head of the Directorate for International Affairs of FTEU, Hossein Omidi, delivered the welcome message of the chancellor of the university, Dr. Rajab Ali Borzooei, and introduced the capacities and capabilities of FTEU, as the largest teacher education university in the world, in terms of the number of student-teachers and geographical distribution and expressed the hope to develop the relations between the two universities.
Dr. Zahid Majeed delivered the friendship message from Prof. Zia Ul Qayyum, the deputy of Allama Iqbal Open University, and introduced the capacities of the university, stating that regarding the extended activities of the two universities and peaceful relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, we will certainly witness strong scientific interactions between the two universities.
It must be noted that Allama Iqbal Open University, as one of the main universities in Pakistan, was established in 1976 in Islamabad, and is directed by the president of Pakistan. The language of education is Urdu and ranks second in the world in terms of the number of students.
