Ali Asghar Faani in Meeting of Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU): FTEU for Professional Teacher Education

On the second day of the seasonal meeting of provincial administrators and the members of the board of directors of FTEU, the former Minister of Education, Ali Asghar Faani, congratulated Teacher’s Day and explained his viewpoints about the necessity of evolution in the teacher education system, and introduced FTEU as the only specialized institution of teacher education in Iran, which is focused on professional standards of education and plays a key role in supplying and empowering future teachers.

 

Pointing out the significance of trust-building in the education environment, he referred to the five main trust-building factors as honesty, competency, stability, loyalty, and transparency. He stated that teaching is the job of prophets, and teachers’ words can change students’ lives forever.

 

The former Minister of Education referred to the changes in the generation of education and emphasized that today, we are dealing with Generation Alpha and the digital world; the generation that needs up-to-date and smart teachers with high information on the latest technology; getting to know the audience precisely is the success key to educate efficient teachers for the future generation of our country.

 

Emphasizing the vitality of quality improvement, he suggested that the capacity of FTEU is allocated to elementary school education, and take advantage of the capacity of reputable universities for teaching specialized courses of high schools.

 

Eventually, Faani referred to the specific support from the Supreme Leader for FTEU to be the best opportunity to develop the quality and infrastructure of the university.
