Minister of Education at the ceremony of the selection of the Decade of Excellence in Education of FTEU

The Minister of Education, Alireza Kazemi, attending the ceremony for the bests of the Education Excellence Decade at FTEU, congratulated Teacher’s Week and paid tribute to Dr Motahari and the martyrs of the path of knowledge and virtue, in particular Martyrs Rajaei and Bahonar, and stated that today, education is the top priority of the 14^th government and the heads of the three main forces of the government, which is a great blessing for the education system.

He referred to the position of teachers in the Holy Quran, and stated that based on the Quranic teachings, anyone who is a scholar by nature is beloved to God, as they are on the path to leading and guiding; therefore, the highest level of human need is being led and guided.

The Minister of Education added that FTEU is the stem of education in the country; therefore, if the stem is weakened, the output will not be effective. That is why this university must not be placed at the same level as other departments and areas. We must make the best effort to grow FTEU to have a successful future and effective consequences.

He stated that we never allow anybody to undermine any part of FTEU and the main process of student admission, since the vital core of teacher education is FTEU. He pointed out the necessity of revision in the student admission process and said that those students must be admitted who have a deep love for teaching.  He also emphasized the issues, such as space standardization and curriculum evolution.
