In the meeting of the Central Council of Alumni to introduce new members, held on June 1st, 2025, the chancellor of FTEU, Rajab Ali Borzooei, emphasized the necessity of combining the veterans' experience with the youth’s creativity and the vital role of the alumni in identity development, benefactor attraction, scientific reference, and promoting the position of FTEU in the country.
He added that in many prestigious universities across the world, a considerable part of the budget and credit of the university is supplied by the graduated students. Our alumni can also play a key role in areas such as scientific development, identity development, and benefactor attraction.
Referring to the capacity of the alumni associations for national identity development and reinforcement of social bonds, he added that FTEU, modelling after superior universities, must become the scientific reference in the area of education in Iran and the Islamic World, which requires consistent planning, taking advantage of media capacity, and participation of university elites.
He believes that benefactors play a crucial role in infrastructure development and teacher training quality improvement. The chancellor of FTEU said that the best buildings without competent teachers are futile. However, erudite teachers have grown from simple school.
Borzooei pointed out the necessity of effective identity development and stated that we have not been able to consolidate the real position of FTEU in some layers of the education body so far, and your responsibility in the alumni association is precisely to revive the identity and to explain the vitality of the university. Consistent planning and teamwork can raise the position of FTEU to the expected level of the Supreme Leader. We are all responsible for the future of this university, and success is assured provided that we work for the sake of God.
In the end, appreciating the service offered by the former Secretary General, Mostafa Pordeli, and the Association of Activists and the Central Council, Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini Rizi was introduced as the new Secretary General.
