In a joint meeting about taking advantage of the scientific, research, and technological capacity and development of the fundamentals in the education area, FTEU and the Islamic World Institute for Science Citation (ISC) signed a strategic memorandum of understanding.
In the meeting with ISC, in the presence of Rajab Ali Borzooei, the chancellor of FTEU, Mohammad Mahdi Alavian Mehr, the Director of ISC, Seyyed Naghi Mousavi, the head of the Deputy of Research and Technology at FTEU, and a group of authorities, the chancellor of the university stated that the memorandum aims at the establishment of a systematic and stable framework for mutual utilization of the data, research, and technological capacity to promote the quality of the teacher education system in Iran.
Emphasizing the important mission of the university to educate teachers and its reference position in the education area, the chancellor of FTEU described the structure and vast capacity of the university, and referring to the direct, repetitive support of the Supreme Leader from FTEU, demanded for the maximum support from ISC for qualitative improvement and infrastructure development of the university.
Mohammad Mahdi Alavian Mehr, the Director of ISC, welcoming the signing of the memorandum, defined FTEU as having the exclusive capacity to evolve the education system of the country and emphasized the necessity of effective utilization of the support from decision-making institutions to reinforce teachers’ position, and announced that ISC is prepared to offer scientific, citation, and technological services to FTEU.
Seyyed Naghi Mousavi, the head of the Deputy of Research and Technology at FTEU, emphasized the priority of organizing issue-oriented scientific conferences and facilitating the issuance of the ISC License for journals and conferences of the university.
According to the memorandum of understanding, signed by FTEU and ISC, a cooperation will be followed in areas including taking advantage of technological infrastructures and databases, development of the “NAN” website, facilitating scientific licensing, and establishment of a joint committee to follow up on the implementation of the memorandum.
