Membership of Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU) in BRICS University Network
The BRICS University Network is a joint scientific and educational initiative among the BRICS member countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) aimed at strengthening academic, research, and innovative cooperation among the leading universities of these countries.
According to the Public Relations Department of the FTEU, Hossein Omidi, the Director of International Affairs at the FTEU announced in an interview that the FTEU was selected as a member of the Mathematics Working Group of the BRICS University Network during a meeting of the presidents of selected universities in the country, chaired by Yekeh Yazdan Doost, the head of the Center for Scientific- International Cooperation at the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology, held in the conference hall of the Ministry of Science on May 27, 2025 via the efforts of Dr. Rajab Ali Borzooei, the esteemed chancellor of the FTEU, and in line with achieving scientific authority in Islamic education and developing international interactions for the FTEU”.
He stated that the “BRICS University Network is a joint scientific and educational initiative among the BRICS member countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) aimed at strengthening academic, research, and innovative cooperation among the leading universities of these countries”.
Omidi added that “this network provides a platform for the exchange of faculty members, students, and research projects focusing on key areas such as energy, information technology, economics, climate change, and development studies, and aims to enhance the scientific rank of BRICS countries on a global scale and create an alternative to the Western-centric educational system”.
