Minister of Education Emphasizes Fairness in Teacher Selection for Overseas Schools

During a visit to the interview process for selecting educators to be deployed to Iranian schools abroad, Minister of Education Alireza Kazemi underscored the ministry’s unwavering commitment to fairness and transparency. “We pledge that not a trace of injustice will be present throughout this process,” he stated.

According to the Public Relations Office of Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU), quoting the Ministry of Education's Information Center, Mr. Kazemi—accompanied by several deputies—personally reviewed the interview proceedings on Sunday, July 27, and held conversations with some of the candidates.

The minister announced that approximately 1,800 candidates, three times the expected number of final selectees, have been shortlisted for interviews. He emphasized that educators assigned to overseas institutions serve not only as teachers but also as cultural ambassadors of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Those serving abroad represent the nation’s values and identity,” Kazemi said. “Our goal is to ensure that only the most outstanding and qualified educators in both educational and moral domains are chosen.”

Kazemi highlighted the role of multiple organizations—including the International Affairs Center, the Selection Directorate, and FTEU—in developing a meticulous and merit-based process. “All efforts are focused on preserving justice and ensuring clarity at every step,” he remarked.

He further noted that this is the first deployment examination since 2018, marking nearly eight years since the previous round. “Our policy is to strengthen Iranian schools abroad by staffing them exclusively with certified public educators,” he said. “The first step toward enhancing these schools is securing top-tier human resources.”

Kazemi concluded by announcing that over 15,000 educators participated in the qualifying exam, and of those, 1,800 have advanced to the interview stage. Final results will be released in the near future.

Let me know if you'd like me to add a headline for the university homepage or format it as a press release. I’d be happy to help polish it even further!
