Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU) Holds Its 49th Council Meeting

The 49th meeting of FTEU’s Council convened with the presence of the university chancellor and council members, marking a key milestone in academic governance and strategic planning.

According to the Public Relations Office of FTEU, the session was held on Sunday, August 3, in the Shahid Chamran Hall at the university’s headquarters. Central administrators attended in person, while provincial campus directors and center heads joined virtually.

The meeting began with remarks by Ayoub Ebrahimi, Secretary of the University Council, who introduced newly appointed members representing various specialized subcommittees. He also spoke on the significance and responsibilities of the council in shaping university policies.

Dr. Rajab Ali Borzooei, Chancellor of FTEU, delivered a report outlining the student evaluation and admissions process, and expressed appreciation to the Monitoring and Evaluation Center for its efforts. He highlighted ongoing efforts to recruit experienced “doctor teachers” with over 20 years of service—an initiative actively pursued in coordination with the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology.

The session also showcased recent achievements in international collaboration, research, and innovation:

  •  * FTEU’s appointment as the sole representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran on the BRICS Mathematics Working Committee
  •  * Plans to establish Iran’s first VR-based simulation lab
  •  * Extensive upgrades to university laboratories and workshops, particularly in the fine arts sector

Following a series of deliberations, the council reviewed and approved the following proposals:

1 Executive guidelines for direct master’s admission of exceptional talents

2 Appointment of a dedicated coordinator for social harm prevention

3 Feasibility study on establishing a Persian language center for non-native speakers

4 Feasibility study on establishing a foreign language education center
