Strengthening FTEU Is a Top Priority, Says Ministry Representative

Jalal Delghandi, Advisor and Representative of the Minister of Education at Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU), emphasized that preserving and advancing the university is essential to safeguarding the future of education in Iran. Speaking at a strategic planning session held on Tuesday, August 5, at Shahid Bahonar Cultural Complex in Tehran, Delghandi called for collective commitment to elevate the university’s role as a national academic asset.

According to Public Relations Office of FTEU, the meeting—focused on outlining the “Mehr Opportunity” program—brought together provincial directors and members of the university’s executive board.

Delghandi described FTEU as a cornerstone of Iran’s educational system, stressing that its development requires coordinated efforts across all levels. “True educational progress stems from the effective interaction between people, structured learning, and organized institutions,” he said. “Boosting productivity in education depends on cultivating and deploying the most capable professionals.”

He urged provincial leaders to fully recognize the university’s pivotal role in training the nation’s teaching workforce and to actively support its growth. Citing the Supreme Leader’s emphasis on the university’s importance, Delghandi called for stronger alignment between regional administrators and the ministry’s strategic policies.

Highlighting the Minister of Education’s personal commitment, he noted that FTEU ranks among the minister’s top three priorities. “This elevates our shared responsibility,” he said, encouraging provincial managers to prioritize infrastructure, resources, and staffing to accelerate the university’s development.

Delghandi also praised the university’s leadership team—including the chancellor, deputies, and department heads—for their tireless efforts. “Their unity and dedication have earned the ministry’s growing confidence and optimism,” he remarked.

He acknowledged the unique challenges facing FTEU compared to other higher education institutions, noting that its mission demands greater resilience and perseverance.

In closing, Delghandi reaffirmed the ministry’s full support and called on all stakeholders to remain steadfast in their efforts. “Preserving this academic institution means preserving the future of our national education system,” he concluded.
