Head of Supreme Leader's Representative Offices in Universities:
FTEU Is Iran’s Leading Strategic Institution
Hujjat al-Islam wal-Muslimeen Mostafa Rostami, head of the Supreme Leader’s representative office in universities, emphasized that FTEU holds a uniquely strategic position in shaping the future of the country. “FTEU is Iran’s number one strategic university,” he declared.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the 9th National Summit of Directors, Deputies, Executive Managers, and Women’s Unit Leaders of the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office at FTEU, held on Saturday, September 6, 2025 (21 Rabi' al-Awwal 1446 AH) at the Imam Ali (AS) Educational and Research Center in Babolsar, Rostami outlined the expectations and responsibilities of the representative offices in light of current developments and challenges.
He noted that FTEU possesses unique missions and advantages not found in any other institution. “The future of the country lies in the hands of FTEU,” he said, stressing the critical importance of teacher education and the need for serious attention to this national priority.
“We cannot afford passivity, indifference, or lack of motivation,” he added. “We all carry a heavy responsibility to advance and elevate FTEU.”
Referring to Fundamental Reform Document of Education, Rostami underscored the importance of ideological, political, and social training for student-teachers. He described the education sector as the most vital part of the country, with teacher preparation and FTEU representing the most strategic component of the Ministry of Education.
He also emphasized the significance of full-time campus life for student-teachers, reaffirming that FTEU remains the top priority for the Supreme Leader’s Representative Office in higher education.
In closing, Rostami addressed several current national issues, highlighting the need for thoughtful engagement and strategic educational responses.
