Message from the Chancellor of FTEU on the Occasion of the New Academic Year
In the name of God, the Compassionate, the Merciful
“And that man shall have nothing but what he strives for.” (An-Najm: 39)
The start of the new academic year heralds a renewed effort along the path of personal growth and social excellence, offering an opportunity to expand knowledge and capabilities in research and cultural fields. Its concurrence with Sacred Defense Week also provides a valuable opportunity to deepen our understanding of the lessons of Sacred Defense—serving as a roadmap and clarifying its profound concepts and values.
The 12-day Sacred Defense experience and the current sensitive situation of the country have more than ever highlighted the necessity for cultural and social engagement, accurate narration, and the intellectual and cultural education of the new generation. With the weighty mission of training exemplary teachers for Islamic Iran, Farhangian Teacher Education University (FTEU), alongside other segments of society, seeks in the new academic year— through the cooperation of distinguished faculty members and esteemed colleagues— to fulfill its vital role in reinforcing national and Islamic-Iranian identity, fostering the spirit of resilience, and increasing public awareness for the country’s future.
Student-teachers of this university, as future educators and architects of the nation and mentors of the next generation, are expected, with firm determination and a sense of responsibility, to use their talents to further develop teaching skills. They are called upon to leverage their competencies to meet the country’s scientific and cultural needs, address crises, solve national challenges, and nurture a productive, noble, and hopeful generation, thereby ushering the nation towards excellence and honor.
The growing interest of top talents and high achievers in this university undoubtedly increases its responsibilities, providing a new capacity for this institution, as in the past, to draw upon its distinguished faculty members and dedicated staff to further strengthen infrastructure and enhance quantitative and qualitative development in the year ahead, preparing elite student teachers who meet the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
On this occasion, while commemorating Sacred Defense Week and drawing inspiration from its valuable lessons, I sincerely congratulate the start of the new academic year to our esteemed faculty members and student-teachers, especially the new entrants who have embarked upon this noble path. I also ask Almighty God to grant ever-increasing success and prosperity to our graduates who are beginning their mission to nurture the children of this land.
My heartfelt appreciation also goes to the esteemed and hard-working managers of the university who, despite limited resources, have steadfastly prioritized and addressed needs, enabling the university’s timely and meritorious commencement of the new academic year. I am confident that, through collective effort and by fostering a dynamic, research-oriented, and vibrant environment, we can further facilitate the path of this educational institution to fulfill its vital mission.
Rajab Ali Borzooei
The Chancellor of FTEU
