The Deputy of Research and Technology at Farhangian University announced the implementation of a series of targeted programs and measures aimed at developing and strengthening the culture of research among student-teachers and faculty members.

According to the university’s Public Relations Office, Hojjat ul-Islam Seyed Naqi Mousavi, Deputy of Research and Technology, stated in an interview: “Establishing structural, procedural, and operational frameworks to promote a research-oriented culture is one of the primary objectives of this office.”

He categorized the efforts to foster the culture of research into two main groups: student-teachers and faculty members. Mousavi added, “Events such as the Research and Technology Festival, the Technomarket Festival, the Reflective Teacher Festival, and symposiums on lessons learned and unlearned have been organized to motivate research among student-teachers. These activities are designed to enhance their engagement with new technologies, strengthen connections with real-life learning, and facilitate the transformation of ideas into practical phenomena.”

Referring to initiatives targeting faculty members, he noted, “We have aimed to align existing structures to balance the interests and expertise of faculty members (CK), as well as the teaching of subject content (PCK).”

Mousavi stressed the importance of 'educational research in the agenda, stating, “Educational research should have a prominent place among the diverse activities of faculty members, steering their studies toward relevant research.”

He further highlighted efforts to enhance the university’s academic content production and evaluation platform, which enables faster and more efficient review of the proposals and published works of the faculty members.

Mousavi also pointed out that twelve scientific journals at Farhangian University have identified educational research as a core mission, providing an appropriate platform to boost faculty research motivation and facilitate the writing and publication of scientific articles.

Introducing the “NAN” system as a reference for identifying the research needs within and outside the university's educational ecosystem, Mousavi explained that this platform introduces key research issues and needs, fostering healthy competition in the research field.

He concluded by listing the organization of festivals, conferences, scientific chairs, experience-sharing sessions, the awarding of research grants, and incentives for scientific articles as effective measures for advancing ‘educational research’ which aligns with the university’s mission to train thoughtful and research-oriented teachers.
