Deputy for Student Affairs Emphasizes Enhancing Welfare and Quality of Life

The Deputy for Student Affairs at Farhangian University (FU) announced that improving nutrition and dormitory quality, expanding counseling and medical services, promoting cultural and sports activities, and increasing transparency regarding deductions are among this year’s key priorities.

According to the university's Public Relations Office, as the new academic year begins, Vahid Alamian, Deputy for Student Affairs, detailed extensive new initiatives in welfare, health, culture, and sports. He emphasized, “Our primary focus is improving the living conditions of student-teachers on campuses.”

Alamian highlighted a particular focus on nutrition, noting that there will be stricter supervision over food quality and hygiene, aiming to further raise dietary standards. Regarding dormitories, despite some physical constraints, he shared that new processes are being developed to enhance comfort and convenience for residents.

Alamian said that numerous counseling workshops and programs have been arranged to promote well-being and mental health in dormitory environments. He also mentioned ongoing negotiations with the Ministry of Health to leverage its resources for improved medical services for students.

Special attention is being given to quality supportive services and student loans. In the realm of physical education, he announced plans for a diverse range of sports programs for both students and staff to ensure a vibrant and active year.

He identified student dormitories as a major concern, stressing that hygiene, psychological security, landscaping, and improved living conditions are all under review. Activities in digital sports and cultural engagement will soon be announced by provincial university directors.

Alamian also referred to an extensive welcoming ceremony for new student-teachers, held simultaneously across campuses nationwide to familiarize them with university life and regulations. For newcomers, guidebooks containing vital policies and regulations will be distributed, alongside the gifting of the Holy Quran at the start of their academic journey.
