Chancellor of Farhangian University: "No Mission is More Sacred than Teacher Training"

Rajab Ali Borzooei, Chancellor of Farhangian University, highlighted the unparalleled status of teachers and the significant role of Farhangian University in shaping future generations during the induction ceremony for the new Chancellor of Farhangian University in Khuzestan. He stated, "There is no mission in the country more sacred than the training of teachers."

According to the Public Relations Office of Farhangian University, Khuzestan, Dr. Borzooei added, "No society can progress beyond the thoughts of its teachers." He underlined that the position of teacher training has always been emphasized by great Iranian leaders, including Amir Kabir, and today this responsibility rests with Farhangian University—an institution that should serve as the beating heart of the Ministry of Education.

Dr. Borzooei further noted that the interest shown by the nation’s brightest youth in pursuing the teaching profession makes the university's role in developing qualified human resources even more significant. “Farhangian University should become the cornerstone for training teachers in line with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution,” he emphasized.

He noted the comprehensive support offered by the government, parliament, and the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution, citing substantial increases in the university’s infrastructural and credit budgets in recent years. The promotion system for faculty members and the internship system are being reviewed and transformed, and tangible steps are underway to improve both student welfare and faculty livelihoods.

Dr. Borzooei explained that Farhangian University aims to become a scientific authority in the field of education both within Iran and across the Islamic world. “International collaborations, the admission of foreign students, and the revision of educational regulations are all being pursued in this direction,” he stated.

In closing, while thanking the outgoing Chancellor and the outgoing management team, Dr. Borzooei expressed hope that with the appointment of Dr. Hamdani and the cooperation of faculty and the Department of Education, Khuzestan’s Farhangian University will witness further growth and development.
