Joint Session Stresses Acceleration of Standardization for Tehran Province Farhangian University Campuses
A joint session between the central board of Farhangian University and Farhangian University of Tehran was held at Shahid Bahonar Girls’ Teacher Training Center to improve standards across the province’s campuses and centers.
According to the Public Relations Office of Farhangian University, Tehran, the meeting was attended by Dr. Rajab Ali Borzooei, Chancellor of Farhangian University of Iran, senior advisers, managers, and deputies from the university’s central board and from the Tehran province campuses.
Emphasizing the important role of higher education institutions in training competent and committed teachers, Dr. Borzooei remarked, “Despite the presence of top talents, the facilities of Farhangian University of Tehran are inadequate for its large student population.”
He praised the efforts of the Shahid Bahonar Center in the past year and stressed that, as the flagship of Farhangian University, Tehran must quickly reach required standards.
Discussions focused on improving educational quality, developing teacher-training infrastructures, and addressing challenges facing the province’s university campuses. Proposed solutions included revising student distribution, expediting welfare and student services, increasing academic and administrative staff, enhancing program quality, and expanding dormitory and educational spaces.
Dr. Borzooei toured various sections, engaged with staff and students, and held an open session in the university dormitory to directly address student concerns.
It is noteworthy that Farhangian University of Tehran, with 18,000 student-teachers, 2,000 faculty and staff, and offering 18 undergraduate and 12 postgraduate programs across nine teacher-training centers, is among Iran’s largest universities.
