Today’s Weapon of the Basij is the Pen and Thought
On Saturday, November 22nd, Farhangian University held a specialized session on “Scientific Basij, Educational Jihad, and Civilization-Building University” as part of Basij Week. The event brought together university officials, faculty members, and Basij student-teachers to highlight the critical role of Basij professors in promoting knowledge, hope, and educational governance.
Mohammad Reza Mardani, Head of the National Basij Organization of University Professors, emphasized that “the Basij’s weapon today is the pen and thought,” noting the importance of professors in countering intellectual and cultural challenges, clarifying ideas, and shaping future teachers. He described Farhangian University as a strategic hub for teacher training and educational innovation, tasked with modernizing curricula and addressing the needs of both teachers and students.
Mardani also highlighted the global impact of Basij thought in countries like Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, and Yemen, and called on professors to transmit the values of resistance and educational excellence to the next generation. He stressed that collaboration between Basij faculty and university management is essential for advancing educational governance, updating programs, and inspiring hope throughout the education system.
