Message from the Chancellor of Farhangian University on the Auspicious Birth Anniversary of Imam Ali (AS) and Father’s Day

O Allah, send Your blessings upon the Commander of the Faithful, Ali ibn Abi Talib, the brother of Your Prophet, his guardian, chosen one, minister, the repository of his knowledge, the bearer of his secrets, the gate of his wisdom, the eloquent voice of his proof, the caller to his law, and his successor among his community…

The 13th of Rajab marks the exalted manifestation of the Perfect Human Being and offers an occasion to reflect anew on the meaning of fatherhood in the school of Imam Ali (AS). It is a day on which history witnessed the birth of a man who embodied justice, courage, spirituality, and responsibility not merely in words, but through a life of pure and principled action. The Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS)—the father of orphans, the refuge of the oppressed, and a timeless exemplar of human education—remains an enduring model for all who regard teaching and education as a sacred mission.

Father’s Day provides a valuable opportunity to honor the elevated status of men who, through patience, commitment, and moral integrity, have built the firm foundations of family and society. These fathers, often quietly yet profoundly, have paved the way for the growth and advancement of generations. Within the intellectual framework of Farhangian University, fatherhood is not merely a familial role; it is a manifestation of social, educational, and cultural responsibility upon which the future of the nation rests.

This year, the significance of this blessed anniversary is further deepened by its concurrence with the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom of the valiant Islamic commander, Lieutenant General Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani. With steadfast faith, revolutionary rationality, and rare sincerity, he presented a luminous image of fatherhood for the Ummah and stood as a distinguished example of those nurtured in the school of Imam Ali (AS). Martyr Soleimani was not only a field commander, but also a teacher of courage, responsibility, and fidelity to values—an inspiring role model for student teachers and all those engaged in the sphere of education.

Farhangian University considers it its duty, on such occasions, to reaffirm and strengthen the inseparable bond between education, moral upbringing, Alawite ethics, and the culture of sacrifice and martyrdom. The future of the nation’s education system depends on the cultivation of teachers who, both in thought and in practice, are true inheritors of this enlightened school.

On this auspicious occasion, I extend my heartfelt congratulations on the blessed birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali (AS), and Father’s Day. I also pay the highest tribute, with deep respect and pride, to the revered memory of the honorable Islamic commander, Martyr Haj Qasem Soleimani. I pray to Almighty God to grant all members of the Farhangian University community success in advancing along the path of justice, responsibility, and the cultivation of exemplary human beings in line with the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
