Head of the Supreme Leader’s Representation Office at the Commemoration of the 9 Dey “Day of God”:
Today’s Enemy Warfare Is Hybrid and Aims to Undermine National Authority and Unity
The Head of the Office for the Representation of the Supreme Leader at Farhangian University emphasized the changing nature of confrontation between the enemies and the Islamic Republic of Iran, stating that today’s warfare is a form of hybrid and narrative war whose primary objective is to influence public perception, weaken national authority, and disrupt national unity.
According to the Public Relations Office of Farhangian University, Hojjatoleslam wal-Muslimin Ali Taghavi, Head of the Office for the Representation of the Supreme Leader at Farhangian University, made these remarks at the commemoration ceremony of the 9th of Dey (Day of God), known as the Day of Insight and the Nation’s Covenant with Wilayat. The ceremony was held at the university’s Central Organization.
Referring to the enemy’s new strategies against the Islamic Republic of Iran, he noted that direct military confrontations have been replaced by hybrid warfare, psychological operations, and wars of narratives. “In this form of warfare,” he said, “the primary target is the mindset and beliefs of society.”
Highlighting that hostile powers have sought to deprive the Islamic Republic of its achievements since the very beginning of the Islamic Revolution, Taghavi added that Iran’s authority—particularly in scientific and defense fields—has become a major source of concern for domineering powers. “They attempt to weaken these pillars of national strength through pressure, conditional demands, and negotiations,” he stated.
The Head of the Supreme Leader’s Representation Office at Farhangian University described national unity as one of the most critical factors in thwarting enemy objectives, stressing that adversaries seek to create political, social, and religious divisions. “The unity and cohesion of the Iranian nation constitute a strategic asset and the main reason for the failure of hostile fronts,” he said.
Drawing on Qur’anic teachings and historical experience, Taghavi emphasized that the cost of resistance is far lower than the cost of compromise with the enemy, adding that divine promise guarantees the victory of united and resilient nations.
In the concluding part of his remarks, he honored the memory of the martyred commander, General Haj Qasem Soleimani, describing devotion to Wilayat (guardianship of the Islamic leadership) as a defining characteristic of the Soleimani School of Thought. He underscored that the Islamic Revolution does not come to a halt with the martyrdom of its commanders, and affirmed that a new generation of revolutionary youth will continue the path of resistance and progress with strength and determination.
