Message from the Chancellor of Farhangian University on the Occasion of the 9th of Dey (Yomollah 9 Dey)

Yomollah, the 9th of Dey, is a powerful reminder of the dignified grandeur of a nation that, at critical historical junctures, has added golden chapters to the history of the Islamic Revolution through adherence to Islamic teachings and the wise guidance of the Leadership. This day is not merely a historical event; it is a vivid manifestation of profound insight and steadfast resistance against the seditions orchestrated by global arrogance. Farhangian University, as the central pillar of the country’s teacher education system and a stronghold for nurturing the educators of future generations, proudly commemorates this historic epic. Our foremost mission on this occasion is to renew our allegiance to the ideals of Imam Khomeini (RA) and the Supreme Leader (may his shadow endure), and to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to educating a generation that will carry forward the luminous path of this national awareness. The 9th of Dey stands as a symbol of the inseparable bond between the nation and Wilayat, and a clear expression of the Iranian people’s religious zeal in safeguarding the achievements of the Islamic system.

 

The epic of the 9th of Dey was a clear demonstration of the Iranian nation’s capacity for discernment and its ability to distinguish truth from falsehood. This day taught us that religious and political insight constitutes the most resilient shield against the complex and multifaceted waves of enemy plots. As the Leader of the Islamic Revolution aptly stated: “The 9th of Dey was, in the true sense of the word, an epic—an epic created by the Iranian people.” This historic event proved that the deep-rooted bond between the people, the foundations of the Islamic system, and the principle of Wilayat-e Faqih represents an impenetrable red line for the enemies.

The 9th of Dey delivered a decisive response to those ill-wishers and adversaries who sought, through sedition, to undermine the pillars of the country’s national and religious authority. It marked a turning point in the resolute defense of the lofty position of Wilayat-e Faqih and embodied the spirit of resistance against arrogance. Through their massive presence, the Iranian people once again declared that under no circumstances would they accept domination or foreign interference, and that the sanctity of Wilayat remains their unequivocal red line.

The 9th of Dey is a continuation of the path and legacy of the martyrs and the culture of sacrifice that reached its pinnacle during the eight years of the Sacred Defense. Just as the Iranian nation stood firm to defend its land and dignity during that period, it rose on the 9th of Dey to protect the sanctity of religion and the ideals of the Revolution. This epic reminds us that great victories are achieved only through perseverance, reliance on faith, self-sacrifice, and obedience to leadership.

As an institution entrusted with shaping the future, Farhangian University bears a profound responsibility to embed the culture of insight and adherence to Wilayat within the fabric of the education system. The Supreme Leader (may his shadow endure) has emphasized the significance of this role, stating: “If our universities and higher education centers succeed in educating committed and insightful youth, the future of the country will undoubtedly be secured.” Accordingly, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing the future generation with a spirit of jihad, responsibility, and revolutionary values.

While honoring the enduring epic of the 9th of Dey and renewing our allegiance to the exalted ideals of the Islamic Revolution, Farhangian University firmly believes that the continuation of this divine movement requires constant vigilance and unwavering adherence to the guidance of the Supreme Leader.
