50th Meeting of the Farhangian University Council Held

According to the Public Relations Office of Farhangian University, the 50th meeting of the University Council was held on Sunday, 14 December 2025 (23 Azar 1404), at Shahid Chamran Hall. The session was attended in person by central administrative members, with provincial directors and heads of campuses and centers participating online.

At the outset of the meeting, Mehdi Namdari, Secretary of the University Council, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of making maximum use of collective wisdom. He underlined the need to incorporate the perspectives and insights of both headquarters and field-level managers in the university’s decision-making and policy formulation processes.

Subsequently, Rajab Ali Borzooei, Chancellor of Farhangian University, congratulated the female members of the university community on the anniversary of the birth of Lady Fatimah Zahra (SA) and National Women’s Day. He highlighted the role of the University Council as the second-highest decision-making body of the institution and stressed the necessity of establishing specialized committees affiliated with the Council to conduct expert reviews of agenda items and to gather the views of relevant stakeholders.

Referring to the university’s strategic objective of achieving scientific authority and reference status, Borzooei called for the identification of a central focal point for the university’s scientific leadership. He also emphasized the development of a time-bound roadmap, clearly defining the roles and responsibilities of various university bodies in realizing this goal.

In the final part of the meeting, the Secretary of the Council presented a list of proposed agenda items. Following discussion and exchange of views among members, two key items were approved: a review of the structure of the Farhangian University council system at the provincial level, and the review and approval of the “Defensive Preparedness” curriculum for skill-based training programs.
