Mr. Falk Brese – From the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) – presented the research project known as TEDS-M

The 9^th Convention and the 2^nd National Conference on Quality in Higher Education was held in Farhangian University on May 23-24 , 2015. Several scientific papers were presented at the conference and specialized panels on the quality of the university and higher education were conducted.

Accordingly, Mr. Falk Brese – From the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA) – presented the research project known as TEDS-M (Teacher Education and Development Study in Mathematics ) on behalf of his organization and also conducted two workshops in this respect. This project included data from 22000 teacher students from among of 500 teacher education institutions in 17 countries. ( detail is available at www.iea.nl ). Mr. Falk Brese explained that the whole approach of the study might be employed for other field of studies in the Iranian context of teacher education. He also advised that " similar studies might be benificial to evaluate teacher education if conducted by local experts".
