In the visit of Fars News, Professor Mahmoud Mehrmohammadi announced that a non-formal curriculum is to run in "Continued School Year" program. Professor Mahmoud Mehrmohammadi, the acting president of Farhangian University, made a visit to different parts of the Fars News Agency (FNA) on 12 July, 2015. The Secretary of the Board of FNA explained various sectors of the agency in this visit. Responding to questions from reporters, professor Mehrmohammadi noted on the operational programs in line with the demands of the Supreme Leader of Islamic Revolution in May 2015. He said: “… the emphases of the Supreme Leader is a unique phenomenon and a truly exceptional opportunity for Farhangian University”. He continued that “… training provided is not limited to standard university curriculum, but the curriculum is named official curriculum with its own position” which simultaneously has and takes special consideration to spiritual and educational growth of teacher students through a non-formal curriculum. He stated that we joined a program called "continued school year ". He stated that summer time is not the end of teacher students and teachers' learning and practicing. The program is looked with the slogan of "Farhangian University might be closed but this will never be true with Teacher Education ".  He said that summer is accurately planned and this is the first time we are to run "continued school year " program and the socio-cultural deputy of the university has already come up with the procedural sketches to be executed. On the same issue, he added that camp activities, festivals, and other enjoying summer programs have been provided for teacher students. Professor Mehrmohammadi pointed out that after visiting the Supreme Leader, in May 2015, we immediately set up a meeting at the University. The Supreme Cultural Council, Islamic Consultative Assembly (parliament) and other officials relevant to the topic were invited. It is concluded to review the strategic plan of the university once again in terms of the leadership demands. We reviewed and revised our priorities in the strategic plan with regard to the views of the leadership. Professor Mehrmohammadi, with respect to the reduction of the quantity of teacher students accepted each year, said: It is a fact that the number of our students is decreasing and this fact is influenced by the concerns of quality. Our mission is to meet the needs of education and human resources, especially teachers, but it is supposed to answer to this need in the form of a university. He said that responding to these expectations requires that we reduce the size and quantity and add the quality. He continued that we will absorb five thousand students through entrance examination this year and after a 4-year course they will be our graduates. Another five thousand students would be absorbed through employment test that must undergo a one-year period training. This means that the absorbed population would be expanded four times after 4 years. At the end of the session various parts of the Fars News Agency were visited by Professor Mehrmohammadi.
