Iran Tourism and Touring Plan Is a Way to Understand and Acknowledge Local Identity

Concerning the issue of Iran Tourism and Touring Plan, Professor Mahmoud Mehrmohammadi, acting president of Farhangian University said that Iran Tourism initiative as one of the attractive and innovative plans introduced by the Deputy for Socio-Cultural Affairs in Farhangian University, familiarizes teacher students with the religious heritage, culture, and history of Iran and also help them understand the customs of local communities. He said that :

Right now, the project has found its way to be implemented in 8 provinces for pilot study. And I hope teacher students esteem and appreciate this opportunity to strengthen one of the key competencies of teachers that is the recognition and development of Iranian identity. The development of such entity as one of the great achievements is an expectation for teacher training colleges in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Professor Mahmoud Mehrmohammadi added that making advantage of the capacity of Iran Tourism for greater recognition of the country is an innovative way in which the placement of student teachers happen in the target position to gain first-hand experience. He stated that such an approach will certainly increase the efficiency of education and is full of interest if compared to the costs we spend for. He said that knowledge, insight and a sense of belonging and national identity can be achieved in a significant pleasure. In another part of his statements, Professor Mahmoud Mehrmohammadi said: “In addition, such programs will bring about spontaneous efforts, partnership capacity, discipline, and accountability in teacher students”. Finally, he wished all a happy and memorable trip and thanked the program managers.
