Emphasis on the Independence of Provincial Universities by the President of Farhangian University
Rajab‑Ali Borzooei stressed the necessity for the independence and empowerment of provincial universities in various educational, research, cultural, and student affairs. According to the public relations department of Farhangian University, on Khordad 10, 1405, a meeting was held with the presence of Rajab‑Ali Borzooei, the President of Farhangian University, along with university vice presidents and provincial managers to address the issues and concerns of provincial Farhangian universities.
Borzooei expressed gratitude to all provincial managers and staff, stating, "The university has embarked on an upward trajectory across all cultural, educational, research, and student domains, making significant progress." He highlighted Farhangian University's position as the most important and fundamental educational institution in the country, asserting, "A teacher shapes humanity, and humanity builds the nation; thus, every effective step taken at this university can pave the way for major transformations in society."
Borzooei emphasized the governing role of the university, adding, "It is crucial to accurately convey our needs and demands to relevant authorities, outlining a broad vision while ensuring internal organizational cohesion to maximize our impact in the country."
He continued by emphasizing the need to elevate our expectations and standards in various spheres and pursue significant ideas with a profound and forward-thinking outlook in all cultural, educational, research, and student dimensions. He expressed hope that Farhangian University could become a global center for Islamic education and training.
He added, "As a well-known name in the field of education, we require efforts from all provincial managers to address local needs and enhance the quality of provincial universities using all the faculties and capabilities available in the provinces, as the central organization is primarily responsible for policy-making, leadership, and oversight."
Borzooei recommended that provincial managers adopt a "program-focused" approach in managing provincial universities, emphasizing the necessity of developing specific plans in research, education, training, and student affairs. He urged taking strategic steps towards ensuring independence for provincial universities.
He insisted on the importance of full-time presence and exact supervision of educational and research activities by faculty members, specifying that department heads must facilitate the growth and empowerment of faculty while maintaining a distinction between friendly relations and academic requirements to maximize faculty contributions.
Borzooei highlighted the need for coordination and constructive interaction among provincial Farhangian university management, provincial education department directors, representatives of the Islamic Consultative Assembly in provincial constituencies, and other responsible officials, stating, "By adopting a collaborative approach among relevant executive and supervisory bodies, we can create an environment conducive to achieving the larger goals of Farhangian University."
He underscored that "education, culture, and training are the honor of Farhangian University," urging them to actively seek to enhance the qualitative and quantitative levels of provincial universities while clearly expressing their needs and expectations from university vice presidents. He also encouraged providing expert suggestions for formulating policies in the central organization and firmly defending the dignity and status of Farhangian University.
Borzooei concluded by stating, "Undoubtedly, this university has a bright future ahead and will soon become the largest and most central center for higher education in the fields of education and training at both national and international levels."
