Local Food Festival Held at Farhangian University; Reviving Indigenous Roots and Food Traditions

The "Student Local Food Festival" aimed at reviving authentic Iranian traditions, strengthening cultural identity, and creating a vibrant atmosphere among student teachers, was organized by the Student Affairs Office at Farhangian University. According to the public relations department of the Student Affairs Office, the festival focuses on celebrating the culinary culture of Iranian ethnic groups and promoting a healthy lifestyle, thus showcasing the cooking skills of student teachers.

During this cultural event, student teachers from across the country presented local and indigenous dishes, demonstrating the rich diversity of Iran's food traditions. In addition to promoting cultural capacities from different regions, the festival serves as an opportunity to enhance social interactions, exchange experiences, and improve life skills within the university community.

The Student Affairs Office emphasized the importance of this program, stating, "Farhangian University is not just a place for specialized education; it is a platform for preserving and transmitting the rich culture of Islamic Iran. Hosting such events helps student teachers inspire their cultural roots, thus becoming promoters of traditions and healthy lifestyles for future generations in their roles as educators."

The aim of this festival, beyond revisiting indigenous characteristics, is to create a space for the exchange of ideas, enhance practical skills, and connect artistic expression with quality standards in nutrition. The submitted dishes will be evaluated by judges based on criteria such as cooking quality, authenticity of the recipe, presentation, and decoration, culminating in recognition of the winners of this cultural competition.
