Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini Meets with Families of University Martyrs / Signing of a Cultural Cooperation Agreement with the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini
During the final days of the month of Safar, coinciding with the mourning days for the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), a number of families of martyrs of teacher education attended the holy shrine of the Founder of the Islamic Republic of Iran and were special guests at the mourning ceremony held at the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini (RA).
On this occasion, the families of student-teacher martyrs of the Ramadan War, martyrs of the Kerman terrorist attack, and martyred university servants were among the special guests of the spiritual ceremony.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Ayatollah Seyyed Hassan Khomeini held a cordial meeting with the families of the university martyrs and spoke with them. He paid tribute to the exalted status of the martyrs, expressed his appreciation for the steadfastness and resilience of the veterans and their families, and extended his condolences to them.
During the meeting, which was attended by Gholamhossein Alizadeh, Director General of the University’s Office for Witnesses and Veterans Affairs, Ayatollah Khomeini, recalling the words of the martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution that “Farhangian University is the focal point of the education system; give it due attention,” emphasized the strategic importance of Farhangian University in remaining on the right course of history and highlighted the role of organized student activities at this critical historical juncture.
He also referred to the presence of 14,000 student teachers who are children of martyrs and veterans at the university.
He added that, following consultations with the Cultural Affairs Department of the Holy Shrine of Imam Khomeini (RA), the necessary arrangements had been made for the conclusion of a comprehensive cooperation agreement, enabling Farhangian University to utilize the cultural, educational and welfare capacities of the Holy Shrine to implement specialized cultural and promotional programs for students.
